Promote your accommodation or business
We offer two kinds of promotion – listings and banner ads. You can have both.
To get your promotion live, or to make an enquiry, please contact us. Here’s what you need to know:
LISTINGS: ACCOMMODATION
Your listing will appear on the relevant ‘Stay’ accommodation page:
Self-catering (including cottages & holiday homes)

Featured accommodation listings
‘Featured’ properties can appear higher up than regular listings. Please contact us for details.
LISTINGS: BUSINESS
If you have a non-accommodation business, you can list it on the Islay Info About Islay local businesses page, coming soon.

Listings fall into business categories and appear in alphabetical order, followed by basic text entries in alphabetical order.

Basic text entry option
Non-accommodation businesses can also choose a basic text entry for £20. These show your business name, e-mail address, phone number and website link, and run after the regular listings.

Advertise with a banner ad
Maximise the visibility of your property or company. A banner ad is a cost-effective way to reach a large number of potential visitors. Ads on Islay Info are popular and are subject to availability.
There are two options – Premium and Standard. All are displayed at 300 pixels wide and include a link to your website. Which option you choose – and the nature of your business – determines how much your ad costs and where it will appear. Here are two examples:
Accommodation ad
For accommodation, your ad will appear on the home page and relevant Islay ‘Stay’ accommodation page, plus if you choose the Premium option, on the nearest ‘Key places’ page to you.
Non-accommodation ad
For a non-accommodation business, we will place your ad on what we consider the most relevant page but are open to discussion.
BANNER AD COSTS: ACCOMMODATION & BUSINESS
The cost for advertising includes creating and producing your banner ad.

SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL PACKAGES
Combined package:
Take advantage of a combined package for £150. This comprises a regular accommodation or business listing plus a premium banner ad option.
VIP package:
You can also have your own website page that includes ads. Here’s an example for boat trips.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO PROVIDE
For listings:
- Your property or business name
- Location
- Your business category (for our guidance – we can discuss this)
- Brief description (maximum 350 characters including spaces)
- E-mail address
- Phone number
- Website link
- Good-quality photo in landscape format – the larger the file size the better
For banner ads:
- Good-quality photo in landscape format – the larger the file size the better
- ‘Headline’ to promote your business, no more than 8-9 words
- Your logo, if you have one
- Website link
We’ll put your listing or banner ad together (it might require a little editing or image manipulation) and send it to you for approval.
INVOICING AND CHANGES
We’ll invoice you when you have approved your listing or banner ad and it is live. You can make one change (image and/or text) per year at no cost.
Terms and conditions
By requesting to advertise or to post an accommodation or business listing with us, you agree to our terms and conditions. The Agreement starts upon acceptance and continues until you notify us of your intent to terminate. Full terms and conditions apply.
1. Commencement and duration
This Agreement commences on the date of acceptance and will continue indefinitely unless terminated in accordance with the terms below.
2. Automatic continuation
The Agreement will remain in effect continuously without the need for annual renewal confirmations.
3. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice with immediate effect. Notice of termination must be sent via email to news@islayinfo.com or by post to Islay Development Initiative Ltd, Kilarrow Community Hub, Bowmore, Isle of Islay PA43 7LH.
4. Fees and payment
All outstanding fees for service rendered up to the termination date will become immediately due and payable upon termination.
By submitting an advertising or listing request, the advertiser/property owner/business owner confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.

All listing and banner advertising costs exclude VAT.
