Kintyre Express

The Kintyre Express passenger ferry is a great way to explore Scotland and Northern Ireland - at speed. The 12-seater, 13.25 metre Redbay Stormforce 1250 ferry links Campbeltown in Kintyre, Ballycastle on the Antrim Coast and Port Ellen on Islay.

When Kintyre Express operates

Kintyre Express runs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from Friday, 29 March to Monday, 30 September. Two vessels will operate from Friday, 24 May to Monday, 2 September, with three return journeys between Ballycastle and Islay. Outside these dates, one vessel will operate.

It takes 1 hour 30 minutes between Campbeltown and Ballycastle and around 1 hour between Ballycastle and Port Ellen. Check out the full Kintyre Express timetable for specific services.

Single: £80pp
Return: £150pp
Bikes and golf clubs are carried free on all journeys.
